![]() To be clear, this counter is purely a visual aid, the behind the scenes stuff still functions entirely fine whether or not it's shown. I could, it'd take me longer than it took to make the rest of the mod though so nope! Ask them to add a counter instead, it's their UI, they'd know better where one could fit. Can you support the counter on mods that replace the vanilla research tree?.Oh and you can also choose if this only affects scenarios starting at a lower than Ultratech level or if it affects scenarios in general and even the minimum tech level you can have! This mod however has the options for choosing exactly what percentage of research you need completed to advance (instead of all or half), includes a counter on the Vanilla UI (only the Vanilla UI) and lets you have it ignore modded research entirely for the calculation. Going on the description alone it seems all TA has over this is scaling changes to the costs of researches and discounts for lower levels. No idea really, never used it, obviously (see above). ![]() What's the difference between this and Tech Advancing?.Prefer TA? Then use it, I couldn't care less. Alternative options are a good thing regardless of differences. Isn't this just Tech Advancing with less options?ĭidn't know it existed till posting this and being told repeatedly. And I have to also like the 's a lot of hoops to jump through.īud, I'm not omnipotent, test it yourself and find out. Only for people I like and happen to be on the O21 Patreon Discord. So if we complain briefly you'll make mods for us?!.No more doing rocket science at a Neolithic rate just because your colony started that way!īecause someone complained briefly about how the vanilla functions worked.īout an hour? Mostly because the first attempt didn't work properly. If you start as tribal, and complete all Neolithic research, the game will recognise your capability as Medieval, and so on. ![]() Think about it, if tribals teched so fast that they caught up with the crashlanded tech level immediately, what would be the point of having different starts? That's like saying we need a patch to add two more pawns, weapons and clothing to the naked brutality start.Makes the calculation for current research speed account for 100% completed tech levels. Research doesn't tend to be the thing that caps you, and in those few cases where it does you can just plop down another 6 research benches and have everyone help out on tech for a bit. It's like, even you got cataphract armor, bionic limbs and pulse weapons all at the same time, you couldn't feasibly make all of those at once. If you get 1-2 dedicated researchers you'll still usually tech faster than you can build the things you researched. The main difference for a tribal start is that early on you play differently, but in the long run you still research everything. If you actually play as tribals instead of just theorycrafting it, you'll see that the research speed is not really much of a problem. There is nothing that needs to be fixed here and you don't get "stuck" at all. r/RimWorldStreams - For all of your videos and streams needs r/RimWorldTales - /u/srgrafo's Rimworld Comic Series r/RimworldSwap - Swap saves with other players r/ShitRimworldSays - /r/nocontext posts about /r/RimWorld r/RimworldArt - Posts about Rimworld Artwork (not fanart!) r/Rimreddit - Colonists playing only on a single planet r/RimWorldPorn - High Quality Images of Rimworld Colonies No discussing pirated versions of the game.
